Experience Coast of the Sun in Spain!

Time for a travel tip! WBE Travel recommend the Coast of the Sun, also known as the Costa del Sol.

what can you do on the Spanish coast?

Costa del sol is part of the Andalusian coastline and stretches from Nerja in the east to Manilva in the west. For many visitors, Malaga city and Marbella are the obvious destinations if you take a flight to Malaga.

Ski for the Day

If you’re in Malaga or Marbella, you can take a day trip to Granada and the Sierra Nevada. Here, you can ski until as late as April, making it the perfect experience for those who enjoy being active and exploring.

Not into skiing? Then, you can spend a day in Granada and explore the beautiful Alhambra instead. There’s simply something for everyone!

Costa del Golf – Perfect for Golfers

The coastline is also known as “Costa del Golf” due to the large number of golf courses to discover. Southern Spain has always been a popular golf destination, with Andalusia having over a hundred golf courses, with Marbella at its heart.

Beaches Beyond Compare

For the active person, it’s perfect to engage in water activities along the coastline, such as a catamaran trip out at sea. Along the entire coastline, you can enjoy good food, wine, and beautiful beaches.

In Marbella and Malaga, you can easily rent bicycles to travel along the beaches. Stop along the way for a refreshing swim or an ice cream, then continue cycling to a tapas bar to experience Spanish cuisine.

3 Cities to Discover

1. Nerja – for Those Who Seek Tranquility

Are you looking for a quieter experience? Then, you should explore Nerja. Residents are not allowed to build houses taller than 3 stories, which gives it a more village-like feeling rather than a big city.

The beaches are just as beautiful as on the other side of Malaga, but here, the number of tourists is fewer, making the pace somewhat more relaxed. Thanks to a microclimate in both directions, it stays warm late in the fall and early in the spring.

2. Marbella – Enjoy a Unique and Exclusive Atmosphere

To get to Marbella, you fly to Malaga and then take a bus, car, or taxi to Marbella. The journey from the airport takes about 40 minutes.

In the old town, you can wander through narrow streets and cozy squares. You’re always close to a local café or a charming tapas restaurant in Marbella. For those who enjoy shopping, there are small shops to explore, offering everything from home decor and jewelry to clothing and shoes

How about dining while looking out over glamorous yachts? Marbella is the perfect place for those who love luxury because here, it’s all about being on top! One of the more luxurious marinas is Sotogrande, with over a thousand berths for boats ranging from 8 to 50 meters.

3. Malaga – a City That Offers Something for Everyone

The very best time to visit Malaga is in the spring when almond and cherry trees, among other things, are in bloom. Autumn is also fantastic for experiencing Malaga, with warm and pleasant temperatures both in the sea and the pool. Summer is hot and pleasant but can mean a larger number of tourists in the city. So, spring or autumn can be the perfect time if you prefer a slightly quieter environment.

The city is surrounded by mountains and is situated in a beautiful valley right on the edge of the Mediterranean.

Are you a food enthusiast? Perfect! Then, Malaga is the city for you with its vast array of restaurants. With its numerous vineyards nearby, you can also go wine tasting with someone you care about.

Are you a sports enthusiasts? Malaga CF offers home matches at Estadio La Rosaleda. And for those who want to sunbathe and swim, Playa de la Malagueta has kilometers of pristine white sandy beach.
