The Dolphins are currently one of the top teams in the league, with a comeback of success after an eight-year playoff drought ending in 2016 and another drought of six years broken in 2022.
Two prominent players who shaped the Dolphins in the 2000s were Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas. Both defensive players were known for their exceptional performances and were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Formula 1 is not a “typical” American sport, but it has held races around the USA for several years. The Miami Grand Prix took place for the first time in 2022, and Miami has been a recurring host for the event in the following years.

Since the race is held only once a year, it’s essential to choose the right date if you want to experience the sport in Miami. In 2024, the weekend of May 3–5 is the one to mark on your calendar.
Pssst! From October 18–20, the race weekend is held in Austin, Texas, if you want to see Formula 1 on American soil at a later date.
6. SWING A FEW HOLES IN THE GOLF MECCA
Active Season: January–September.
Miami offers a fantastic golf experience with beautiful courses, diverse landscapes, and perfect weather to enjoy the game year-round. It’s a destination that attracts golf enthusiasts from around the world.
Here, you’ll find The Soffer Course, the home course for several LPGA and PGA events. The course offers a risk-and-reward situation at almost every hole. Avoid streams that cross several fairways, be aware of lagoons sneaking into many landing areas.
Miami’s region has hosted various golf tournaments and events, including professional competitions. In March, three PGA Tour events are played: Arnold Palmer Invitational, THE PLAYERS Championship, and Valspar Championship.
